An excellent book that gives informative instruction on how to use the manual modes and functions of the camera. It uses examples that are easy to understand and shows how you can apply them to your photography. It shows how you can apply different techniques and camera settings for different circumstances.

I recommend this book if you are trying to move away from just using the automatic settings and want to make the most of the manual functions.

Still reading my way through it. But from what I have seen, this book is nicely laid out and very easy to read. It making my learning of HTML fun. Would recommended it for html/xhtml starters.

Kevin White's book "Mac OS X Support ".I found this 600 page book to be very useful at understanding the workings of my Mac.

The book is organised as a series of tutorials, but the main text is very detailed and contains references to Apple documentation for further reading.

|The author does give a section on the command line use. He does not assume the reader is a UNIX expert, but of course he can only give a few basic uses, and for a full understanding of this powerful way of extending your Mac you will need extra books on Mac UNIX

The author give more information than you get in, for instance, a "Missing Manual" book, but the trade off is you are assumed to have some computer knowledge.

A good book and worth the price.
