Average rating of 5/5 Perfect for the Sony Syber-Shoot HX1 Camera, 2010-05-08
I know it's advertised as a Camcorder bag, but I bought this for my Sony HX1 Camera, and boy how perfect it is.

The camera fits nice and snug with enough room to the side to keep the strap all nice and tidy.

When attached to the belt the camera is very easy to remove and replace. The false floor in the bag is perfect for keeping the camera manual in and a dusting cloth.
Pockets at either end are perfect for keeping spare batteries in there are various other pockets inside the lid and at the front for keeping spare memory cards, or even a couple of lens filters.

Above all, with the bag full it is still very light and at times I can even forget that I'm actually carrying ( a bit undecided at the moment if that actually a good thing or not)

Will try and add a some pictures of the camera and bag together so you can get a sense of proportion. (taken with phone camera so not great quality)

Average rating of 5/5 Decently sized, well padded and not too bulky., 2010-05-19
I bought this backpack to house a Canon 500D SLR with a 300mm f/4L IS USM lens with a 1.4x teleconverter mounted, which fits pretty well. I'd say it will hold a larger body as well such as the 50D, but not with a battery grip as the backpack isn't too deep.

There is plenty of spare room for additional lenses, and more. In total I can fit the above, plus a 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro, the 18-55mm kit lens, a Panasonic G1 with both the 14-45mm and 45-200mm lenses, both chargers and spare batteries plus a bottle of bird food.

I looked at the Tamrac bags, but they are quite bulky and couldn't fit the above in without going to a much larger backpack (Expedition 6x).

I have had all the above kit in it for a 10km walk with no problems.

Downsides:
It would be great to have a quick access panel at the top to get to the camera quicker.
Don't tip this over when open otherwise your lenses will fall out as there are no safety straps.

Average rating of 5/5 Just what the wife ordered, 2010-07-15
After years of using a shoulder bag for my kit the missus finally pursauded me to get a backpack. After testing a few in store & reading many reviews I decided on the Lowepro Fastpack 250 and neither of us have been disappointed. This pack easily takes my D90, 18-55mm, 300mm, 28-80mm, SB-600, mini tripod, spare batteries, half a dozen filters, cleaning kit, laptop, wires, a compact camcorder (in its own case) and still had space for my glasses, a couple of books and a 10x8" photo frame (don't ask!) If needed I could have got more in but I'm not as strong as I used to be.

It's first serious mission was a 2 week tour of Canada and Alaska and I can honestly say that the Lowepro is really comfortable, easy to access and having survive Canada, Alsaka and American security it is also very robust - well worth the money.

Average rating of 5/5 Great camera case!, 2009-07-09
What can I say, it does what it says on the box. It's a quality camera case which feels great and has been thought through when designing it. I got it for my [[ASIN:B0013IOHAC Sony CyberShot W130 Digital Camera - Black (8.1MP, 4x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD] and it's as snug as a bug with plenty of room for extra memory or battery in the front pouch.

Average rating of 5/5 Excellent day bag, 2010-04-13
I have owned a Lowepro Slingshot 200AW for a few years but it saw only rare use because I always got a fair bit of pain from all the weight on one shoulder.

This bag has been the perfect replacement since it provides even better quick access to your camera (both sides of the bag), You can open up the whole bottom section for easy loading, and is more comfortable generaly practical. The fabric is tough and workmanship appears very good so far.

Because the padded sections unzip as they do you can make them flat, and once you take the camera section pads out you can fold the whole lot up and pop in your suitcase taking up very little room. Great for me as I can use my large bag to take camera kit plus book, phone etc on the plan and have a smaller day bag to use once on holiday!

Top section:
Loads of room, with a flexible fabric design allowing you to accomodate odd shaped items and handy pouches under the flap for whatever given additional room

Camera Section
Can just about hold 2 Canon XXd cameras with standard sized lenses attached (i had a 10-22mm & a 24-104mm on), with the lenses facing down and nearest the openings. This leaves a gap in the middle for a fairly copact spare lense.

This camera section could do with being just half an inch larger to make carrying 2 cameras (without grips still) easy rather than a bit of a squeeze, but it is a smart compact design.

Tripod
2 ways of storing
- strap it accross the bottom - straps are built in
- Strap it verticaly using the fabric rest at the bottom and bucked tap at the top
Both excellent, although the second better if you are in town and don't want to clobber people. All camera backpacks should have these features - not enough do!

Comfort & straps etc
A long day walking arround a city with 2 cameras, 3 lenses and 2 bottles of water and I was very happy - no tired back. Only downside is that the waist strap isn't padded - 2 small pads would really help here and reduce rubbing. Everything is adjustable of course so can accomodate most people i would think.

AW protection
Well, it is there and the cover is fine and stopped the rain I have been caught in BUT the cover is mounted at the bottom so when you try to hook it over the top of the bag it just slips back down as the straps are directly at the top - it can't loop over. This means a the very top gets a bit wet and after a while will seap down. I am going to sew a loop onto the cover at the top and use the tripod straps to hold it on.

Conclusion
I think this is one of the best camera bags on sale. It is perfect for amature and semi pro users who want something to carry their daily needs descreetly. It looks like a rucksack, not a camera bag, has alomost all the features you could want (padded waist strap please) and has enough room for 2 cameras or a good range of glass plus your lunch and a bit of shopping - brilliant!

Average rating of 5/5 Perfect for Nikon D90, 2010-01-09
Bought this to protect and transport my Nikon D90 with Nikkor 18-200mm VRII lens. I wanted a bag with a small form-factor to aid transportation and to fit inside another small rucksack on days out to hide the fact I'm carrying a DSLR.

Does the job admirably. The bag is small and perfectly formed. It has a rugged and sturdy feel, typical of Lowepro kit and is well constructed. There is about 1cm thick padding inside the stiff nylon outer walls to protect the camera from knocks and movement. There is quite a large main compartment, with a moveable divider, which attaches to the main walls with 2 slips of velcro. The position of this can be fine-tuned to fit around your lens and the tip of it actually has a hinged part, which can be bent to mold around the body and grip of your camera, holding it in place within the compartment. My D90, placed in lens-first is a comfortable fit and doesn't move around within the bag. There is then enough room on the other side of the divider to take a smaller lens; I don't have a second (yet), but think the Nikkor 35mm 1.8 should fit in there perfectly! (fingers crossed!) There are also small compartments which are netted and a few little flat pockets for cloths, SD cards etc. Shoulder strap is comfortable and very strong, with an extra pad for your shoulder. A little 'rain mac' folds out of a little pocket on the bottom of the case and has an elasticated edge, so that it can be folded up over the bag to make the zippers etc. watertight (see my pictures, when Amazon add them!). This doesn't cover all of the back wall of the bag when extended, but does cover all the zips. Opening the zips fully also opens the face of the bag, aiding removal of the camera and accessories.

Very happy with this item. Highly recommended.
