Fantastic little camera, 2010-06-28 Often it is handy to have a small, cheap camera that can be put in a bag or pocket to capture photos and this camera fits the bill!
Having had this camera about a month, I can say it is excellent. Pictures are sharp and clear, it is easy to use, good 3x optical zoom, digital image stabilizer (for those shaky moments) and there are many different shooting modes to suit every occasion including portrait, landscape, macro, night, fireworks, sunset, beach and party. The shooting mode that I use most often is "scene recognition auto", where the camera automatically analyses the scene and selects the most suitable scene setting without the user having to do anything!
I must say the two features that were a bonus to the camera purchase were the panoramic mode and the ability to shoot HD video.
-In panoramic mode you can take 3 pictures side by side and the camera will "stitch" them together to form a large panoramic image. I love this feature and have spent hours taking some really cool photos. If you are really serious about it, then it would be advisable to get a tripod, however I have also taken some good photos without one (and some not so good ones, but its easy to delete and start again)! The panoramic mode is an excellent feature that can be fun (trying to get the same person in one large panoramic photo 3 times) and can also produce some high quality panoramic landscape shots.
-The HD video is also a great feature. You can shoot up to 15 mins and it is handy to get those quick action moments that you may otherwise have missed!
The camera is powered by AA batteries, this nearly put me off buying the camera as I usually use rechargeable batteries and I know that cameras can be power hungry when it comes to AA batteries. However, I used the camera for a 2 week holiday, taking over 200 photos and messing about with settings and playback and only had to change the batteries once. Plus it would be possible to buy AA rechargeable batteries and at least you can always buy AA batteries in most shops unlike camera model specific rechargeable batteries!
Anyway, if you are looking for a cheap camera that is easy to use and will give you high quality photos then I highly recommend the Fujifilm FinePix AV100.

Excellent Gift for your kids!, 2010-04-02 I bought this for my daughters 7th Birthday, it is incredibly easy to use. The only point to remember in this age of digital photos your kids need to remember they can't just snap away because they'll use up the cartridge in no time whatsoever. Call me old fashioned but it's nice to get the instant photo to put in an album.

Excellent Camera, but don't just point and click!, 2010-07-28 I replaced my ageing Fuji F20 with the F80EXR and am very impressed. The EXR Auto mode works well most of the time when outisde, but for inside or lower light shots, you really do need to experiment with all the different modes and settings to see what works best. The "sunset" mode seems disappointing so far compared to my F20 but maybe I need to fiddle with settings a bit more to get a better result.
I had read some reviews that said the picture quality was not as good as the F70EXR, but with the F80EXR having a 720P HD movie mode I thought that would be a good trade-off. I have not been disappointed with the quality of either stills or HD video. (Note - SD cards are limited to 2Gb files, so if you have an 8Gb card, you can only record 11min of HD video at once. An 8Gb card will hold 44min but you have to record 4 x 11min clips. This could be a little frustrating!)
The camera can take multiple shots in quick succession (5 at max resolution or 23 at lower resolution) and these are good for capturing action or movement when it can be difficult getting just the shot you want.
Battery life is quite poor compared to my old camera, so I would advise buying a spare battery so you can have one charged and ready to replace the one that will run out just as you need it most!
I highly recommend this camera as long as you have the time and inclination to get to know its capabilities.

Fuji-Film USB cable, 2010-02-15 I bought a used Fujifilm 3800 that didn't have a USB cable. A similar cable that I use for my Nikon didn't have the same pin configuation and would not work with the Fuji camera. The one purchased from you works just fine. Thanks.

Great camera for the money, 2010-07-28 I wanted a small, compact camera to take on trips out and holidays to take pictures of friends and family and this really does the job. Rechargable battery lasts for ages and saves money.
