Nice product, 2010-08-14 It's the first photo-frame I've ever used, so I can't compare with other products. The picture is very clear, it's easy to set-up and use, and the default music is awful. Recommended

The Best Non DSLR Camera Available, 2010-07-27 I have playing with this camera for about a day and can certainly say after that short period it is probably the best alternative to a DSLR. The camera is near perfect. It is a large and heavy camera but it is perfectly balance so doesn't become tiring to hold. The controls fall under all the right fingers and the build quality is superb.
The quality if the photos is second to none an there are plenty of automatic and manual controls. The cameras EXR sensor is amazing and when you compare these images with ordinary ones it really is quite awesome. I have found I leave it on EXR auto when out taking photos an then when I want to be more creative switching to manual mode
If you are in the market for a new camera or if you want to upgrade to a more advanced model there probably isn't anything better than this camera. The build quality, image quality and shear professional feel to the camera couldn't be beaten unless you move to a dlsr.

A recommended buy!, 2010-09-09 Having done lots of research into my compact camera purchase I decided to go for the Fuji F80 based on its feature packed design and good reviews. Having not really initially considered Fuji as my choice for a camera, I was pleasantly surprised when it came using the F80. The first thing that I looked forward to using was the 10x optical zoom. With other brands this was always the feature that was poorly specified for a similar priced compact camera. It certainly came in very handy when taking long range pictures at a wedding I recently went to, they wouldn't have been half as good with a lower magnification.
It is certainly very easy to use with a host of manual settings for the keen photographer to explore. But for the majority of users the Fuji EXR sensor setting will take care of most situations. It automatically prioritises between high resolution, low noise and high dynamic range, while automatically detecting what type of scene you are shooting! This allows you to simply point and shoot. The 12 mega pixels is more than enough to highlight each of these modes, which displayed well on the 3 inch screen and really came alive on a computer screen. Other useful modes include the scenery selector, which includes a very good night mode that helps fill in background light avoiding dark shadows as seen by most compact flash cameras. Not sure whether to use the flash or not? One mode will take simultaneous pictures with and without flash for you to review which is best later.
I was genuinely impressed with this camera when you consider its size, 10x optical zoom, picture settings, quality of image and price. A recommended buy.

I Love This Camera, 2010-07-03 I wanted to buy a smaller digital camera for when I go on holiday - I have a Canon Digital SLR which I have taken on holiday in the past but I find it's just too bulky to lug around all day. I wanted a camera specifically with the following features - small size, ION battery (and not rechargeable AA batteries), no less than 10 megapixels, face recognition, panoramic photos.
After searching around I came across the Fuji Finepix J30 which ticked all of the boxes (and more) for me. Having only played around with it briefly it seems very well made and despite it's small size it seems to be of solid build. The large display screen on the back is great and it's very easy to take a great shot. The user menu is very intuitive - the same sort of menu as is standard on digital cameras - and it won't take you long to set it up and take your first picture.
I am particularly impressed with the panoramic feature which enables you to take a series of say 3 pictures, each aligning to the previous picture - so easy! I also love the Macro mode for close-ups - you can easily get a very professional looking result using this - the focal point of the picture is very sharp while the background is slightly out of focus - again, so easy to use.
No doubt I will be using this camera a lot on my forthcoming holiday so I will be able to take pictures of the quality that equal my big SLR but I won't get back-ache carrying this one!!

- Usable up to a depth of 3m
- For J10/J12/J15 Digital Camera
- Made of Transparent Polycarbonate
does exactly what it says on the...plastic case, 2010-08-31 I purchased this for my Fujifilm J10 and have to say I am very impressed with the quality of the product for the price.
I did an initial test in the bath putting toilet paper inside it to see if could hold out the water. I shook it about, dropped it against the side and squeezed it underwater, when I took it out and dried the outer casing, the toilet paper inside was bone dry.
I then braved it and put my J10 in the casing and took it to the beach, electronics worst nightmare... SALT WATER! took photos, took videos. apart from the expected problem of using flash in dirty water (flash just bounces off all the muck making it hard to shoot) the images came out at a high standard and the video looked amazing ( I was able to re-create the opening sequence of Jaws). The casing has no optical distortion on the camera so Images aren't effected by the case.
The buttons used to operate are defined and easy to access, but a little tough to press, not significant enough to say its a design flaw but if using over a very long period I can imagine your thumbs being abit sore.
The only down side I can really say about the product is that they are abit stingy with the special gel you use around the rubber seal to give a more water tighter fixing, they give with it a small tube and mine wasn't even half full, but you don't seem to need much when applying it.
All in all I have to say this is one of my best buys, perfect to taking to the beach or to photograph the family at the water parks, looking forward to taking it with me to Florida.

Fuji F70 EXR...An excellent compact Travel Camera, 2010-07-05 Gr8 value, fantastic photo's, easy of use & flexible are words suitably applied to this camera.
It easily fits into a pocket has a nice weighty feel to it and is very easy to use, that said the sheer about of modes can make it confusing for some users e.g EXR alone has 4; Auto, HR, SN & DR.
The zoom range is a very useful 27-270 (x10) and as already mentioned photo quality is fantastic.
The downers: No orientation sensor, no HD video, loss of focus during video zoom, clicking of zoom action audible upon playback, the LCD does'nt do the camera justice, poor battery life (about 230 photo's) so a spare battery would be needed for lengthy trips, and pro focus is great when it works but sadly it's more miss than hit.
When it comes to travel compacts there are really only 2 choices, this or the Panasonic TZ series, having owned one and now the other, I would have to say that the F70 just shades it purely on photographic ability, photo's are sharp, vibrant and when in DR mode dynamic/tonal range is excellent.
