This is the best cartridge I have used : after reading reviews on compatible ones I tried them,but they didn't work properly at all: lots of smudges and quickly empty! Got back to then original and it is working perfectly fine and lasting a long time

Purchased to sit with a Canon 50D and Canon 100mm 2.8 macro, mainly for insect photography. I had considered a Canon ring flash but web reviews were unconvincing, and I did want flexibility for occasional portrait photography. I've got the Speedlite side-mounted to the camera using the excellent but expensive Canon bracket and connecting cable. The whole set-up's a bit weighty but well balanced. I've added a Stofen diffuser to the flash. Uniross High Performance rechargeable batteries work well in the unit. In use I like to keep things simple and have set the camera's flash sync speed in AV to a fixed 1/250 (the lens isn't stabilised so without flash I was shooting at a min. 1/200 anyway to avoid shake as I shoot hand-held). The ISO's set at 200 (without flash it was 800). All I change is the f stop. Most insects - butterfles, dragonflies, etc. I shoot in the f18 to f25 range for decent depth of field. Now, if I can find the subject and can get up close the picture's pretty well guaranteed whatever the natural light conditions. There's no harshness in the lighting, with a nicely cast side shadow. I shoot in RAW but with the right camera set-up (white balance, sharpness, etc) there's very little picture processing needed other than a bit of cropping to better position the subject. I'm sure as time goes by I'll start developing the way I use the Speedlite, but, for now, even in basic use, it's proved an excellent buy and great fun - and the creatures don't seem bothered by it!

This little "sock" case is ideal for carrying the Canon Ixus 95IS, without adding any extra bulk to the camera. The camera can be secured in the sock simply by threading the camera strap through the soft loop inside the sock (the separate strap and belt-clip included with the case can be very easily unclipped if necessary without resorting to cutting it off as some reviewers have stated).

Service was great. The bag is good for a starter / small kit, I have a Canon 500D which has the stock lens on it a spare lens and the charger, you could probably get an additional lens in there but it would start getting a bit tight.
