Printer Ink rip offs, 2010-02-21 This is not a moan about Amazon or their related suppliers. They are usually cheapest and delivery quick and usually free. All the printer manufacturers seem to sell machines for peanuts and then to recoup their "losses" by charging exorbitant prices for replacement ink cartridges. My Canon MP610 is very good but as the purchase price was not cheap I object to paying through the nose for inks. I am tempted to buy cheaper offerings but worry about problems. Why can't the EEC do something about it I can't see the Americans putting up with this nonsense.Thankyou

Small, smart, good quality., 2010-03-05 Having had a PowerShot A40 for 9 years, I was keen to stay with Canon and this was a good deal. It is small but not too light weight, there is no noticeable delay as long as you have half pressed the button to focus first, I am pleased with the indoor and outdoor photos, better than the Fuji finepix which my daughter got recently. I was able to pass it to someone else to take a photo recently and they got it right first time without any instruction (it was a teenager, right enough). The 128MB card that came with it manages about 30 photos which is better than I thought. The AA batteries seem to last quite a long time. Unlike most cameras of this type, it does have a view finder, although it is very small, I still like to have it! The memory card is in the same compartment as the batteries, and I would be slightly concerned that too frequent opening and closing of this compartment might break the flap. I was glad then that the camera installed itself very easily onto my vista pc, so I can download photos with a usb cable, without having to remove the card. I am now pleased to have a camera that is reliable and small enough to carry around in my bag, in the hope of seizing more photo opportunities.

Cannon 521 Multipack, 2010-02-23 What can you say when having to review printer ink?
Well it works and I guess actually it works pretty well. This is probably more a bonus for the printer itself rather than the ink, but I've been using the printer none stop printing out colour pages every week since September. The ink finally ran out in January, not too shabby, though I am on to my second bought black ink now, but as everybody knows the black ink will drain out faster than you can blink with most printers. I guess I can now recommend the cannon fine ink printer range, one for the ink usage which is top draw - though being fine ink you CANNOT buy refurbished cartridges as it will destroy your printer before you know it. My flatmate for example, his printer has just broken so last night needed me to print off a journal for him, I put the printing on the lowest quality possible (as the journal for just for reference) and he was amazed by the quality of the printing especially as it was all in his words 'incredibly quick.'
So there you have it, a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

Really good printer, 2010-03-10 I used to own an Epson Dx4000 which was starting to show it's age so I (after the usual faffing around) chose this printer. I am so glad I did.
Wireless set up really easy even for a luddite like myself.
Print quality is very good indeed and the photos look like commercial quality (using canon photo paper), prints are very fast too and dont seem (so far) to be overly ink hungry.
No complaints whatsover and would definitely buy canon again.

Buy guaranteed performance, 2010-03-06 I always buy printer- makers originals because I prefer guaranteed performance. Compatibles and refills dont seem to work for me, either in the quality of print
or in properly integrating with my printers/computers software. Lessen the monetary pain by watching for sales.

Cheapest i could find, 2010-02-25 Amazon were the cheapest place to get these when i bought mine, cheaper than most of the non-official cartridges too.
