Excellent camera-well worth the money, 2010-03-03 I bought this camera having read most of the reviews, so now it's my turn to leave one! It's a fantastic camera and well worth the money in my opinion. I was worried that as it is slightly larger that a normal digital camera i would get sick of carrying it in a bag as oppose to in my pocket, but that hasn't been a problem. It takes a fantastic photograph in iA mode (Inteligence Auto) but when you start playing about with the manual settings it can produce much better quality of picture. Some people said that the battery life wasn't up to scratch but ive never had a problem, although I did buy a spare, and for the money it's well worth having one. The case that seemed to be most bought for this camera a have found to be a bit on the large side, but thats my fault for not waiting and buying from a shop i guess!
Only downside to anything associated with this item was the appaling delivery service, and amazon have been informed. They used a company called My Home Delivery Network. Now to me that means they will deliver to your home but i seemed to have trouble with this. They left me a note saying that i had missed their call and to phone and arrange another delivery date, i did, they said that i could have it delivered between 0700 - 1900 weekdays. As i work full time this was a problem and i ended up having to collect it the following weekend from their nearest depot which for me was 45 miles away.
Other than that, a very very good product. Highly reccomend one to anyone concidering it.

Olympus
- Ultra-compact and lightweight One of the smallest flash media cards available
- Provides high read/write speeds necessary for todays newest digital cameras
- Embedded Panorama feature for digital cameras with panoramic functionality
- Rigid memory card construction for exceptional durability
- For most xD-Picture Card compatible Digital Cameras
Fuji and Olympus memory, 2010-02-25 Large capacity XD Card for your camera. Not as fast as other memories, nor as large. M+ as the name suggests is faster than M type memory but not as fast at the no longer produced H type. XD is no longer being developed by Olyumpus and Fuji as they now favour more widly used memories. XD was specific to Olympus and Fuji. Most cameras that take this can use micro SD cards with an adapter and you can probably get up to 8Gb for the same price. BUT you will need an XD card in your camera to unlock some picture featurs e.g. panorama, or to use the camera to record video clips over a few seconds (with XD you can record to the card capacity). Don't expect to be able to use the picture features straight out the pack, you need to connect the camera up to originally supplied olympus software to turn it on.

Good buy, good product, Seems reliable so far., 2010-02-22 For a 16GB card at this price (and bearing in mind it's a class 4 rated speed) - then this is a decent purchase. I popped it into my high def video camera and away I went....no problems.

Canon Digital Camera Ixus 100 Black • Canon Ixus 100 IS 12.2 MP digital camera• Features 3x optical zoom with IS; smart auto mode with scene detection technology; DIGIC 4; motion detection and face detection technologies; 2.5 inch LCD scree
AN EXCELLENT CAMERA!, 2010-02-22 This is my review of the Canon Ixus 100
THE CAMERAS BODY:
The IXUS range are well known to be sleek and beautiful - this camera really does prove it.
It is also very slim and very small.
Despite this camera being very small, the camera overall feels well built and solid(although the battery cover does feels a bit flimsy, but it's no biggie.
I am a bit disapointed that the camera has only a 33mm wideangle lens with extends to a weedy 3x optical zoom.
THE BACK OF THE CAMERA:
The buttons on this camera are flat and not that big so if you have big fingers it might be a bit hard the use the buttons, I think for most people they will fine.
The camera has a 2.5" LCD screen and above that there is a TINY little viewfinder and you do have to squint a bit to look through it but it's still good for taking pictures in bright sunlight and for saving the battery by turning the LCD screen of and framing for pictures in the viewfinder.
IMAGE QUALITY:
The image quality on this camera is excellent!
The 12.1 megapixel photos it takes look crystal clear and the colours are vivid and natural.
And the 720p HD video is sharp and detailed but sadly you can't use the optical zoom once you've started filming.
ISO PERFORMANCE:
Images remain noise free until ISO 400, after that the images get quite noisy and at the highest ISO, (ISO 3200) images are reduced to 2MP resoulotion and the picture is very fuzzy.
NEW FEATURES:
SMART AUTO MODE: This is where the camera chooses the right settings to suit the scene.
I-CONTRAST: This feature reduces the shadows in the photo so you can see the subject more clearly in tricky light conditions.
BLINK DETECTION: The camera detects when a person has blinked and then it tells you that someone has blinked.
FACE DETECTION SELFTIMER: The camera only fires the shutter when a new face is detected meaning that the photographer does not have to rush to get into the picture.
CONCLUSION:
Overall I think the camera is great and I would defintely recommed to anyone
