I needed the remote release in a hurry having located an active nuthatch nest. The parents were feeding but from the advanced state of the chicks' heads appearing in the entrance hole, they wouldn't be for long. The remote arrived just in time and the birds had flown by the following evening. The distance of the viewpoint, across a small valley to the nest, made telephoto essential and attempts at hand release too clumsy to be practical.
The infra-red device needs to be in sight of the receptor on the front of the camera (Nikon D70) which dictates your positioning to some extent. However, it all worked out with the camera on a chunky tripod and me down the slope in cover with binoculars. Great fun.

We bought this case to take on a family holiday during which there was plenty of pool time and trips to the beech. All I can say is that it is a superb accessory. Other envious Flip owners videoed their families from the pool-side, wary of getting their cameras wet. Me? I was amongst it all with my wife and two young children - diving and swimming with no hint of leakage from the case. I'm absolutely thrilled with the footage. I was also surprised that the camera still records sound very well with the case fitted.

At under half the price that you would normally pay for this product this really is an excellent deal. I have had this memory stick for a month now in my PSP with two games installed and have had no issues what-so-ever. Delivery was made to me in a timely fashion. Easy five stars for this lens, 2010-07-09
If you're reading this you're probably on the verge of buying a telephoto lens.

This lens is cheap, and makes awesome pictures from range, even before I realised the VR was turned off. If it were £300 I'd still give it 5 stars, and I consider it an incredible feat of engineering for Nikon to profitably sell such a great piece of kit for such a low price.

This lens is something I don't ever want to sell (and I try to sell everything I own, if I don't use it).
