Fits the Canon 430EX Mk 2, 2008-08-29 Bought this for my Canon Speedlite 430ex Mk2 and it fits perfectly and works as expected, creating more of a light fill than harsh direct light.
The Paperwork with it states it reduces the Canon's indicated maximum distance by a factor of 2.5. Not sure if this is the case but I won't argue. It also states never use it in the normal straight ahead position except in TTL Mode. It states for best results use at 45 degress, as it's designed as a flash bounce I suppose most of us would know this already.
One final thing, I store mine on my flash, it is just a little too large (long) to fasten up in the case provided but the case is wide enough, but I can live wih that as it also affords protection to the Flash Lens. A great cheap addition, fully compatible with it seems both Canon Speedlites 430 Mk's 1&2.

Overall good deal, 2008-11-26 I bought this a few months ago and have used it quite a bit.
For the price you get a lot of items. The studio itself is worth the price, and even though the lights and tripod aren't amazing (lights are just torch style with spotlight bulbs and tripod isn't that strong) its worth the price.
Ive given it 4 stars as the lights that I received had American plugs on them with UK adapters, and a bulb blew after about 15mins, but this didn't bother me as the studio works even better with flash guns, and the tripod wasn't quite strong enough to hold my camera and lens, but I shoot hand held anyway.
The studio is very portable... folds really flat and is simple to put up, and it comes with 4 background colours (black, white, red and blue) that velcro into place. The lights and tripod fit inside pockets on the front without problems.
Overall, good product that does its job well, with cheap but useful extras.

The TTL shoe which fits to the main camera body features a secondary hot shoe enabling the user to attach 2 flash units, one on the top of the camera and another off to the side, there is a selector switch on the shoe to choose between camera top or extension flash usage.
- Length: 30cm (12) to 150cm (5) approx.
- Weight: 105g (3.7oz.) approx.
- Compatible with: Canon E-TTL, E-TTL II Flash System, Nikon i-TTL Flash System, Pentax P-TTL Flash System, Fujifilm Finepix SLR Cameras & Samsung SLR Cameras
Better than Canon 0C-E3?, 2008-12-04 Bought this as opposed to the Canon product as it has a switch on the hot shoe part so you can have the extention flash or the on-camera flash working, but not both together! Must say I am immpressed with the quality.
I use this with a slave flash on remote and the set up is very versatile.

Not a comment on the product..., 2008-09-22 This isn't a comment on the product, but more a comment on focalpoint as a supplier. Tried to order but balked at the £50 postage charge quoted. Have emailed to check the postage charge but received no reply. May be good, but check the 'hidden' costs and pick your supplier.

This JJC MF-1 Mini Flash Stand works with Shoe Mounted Flash and all other photography equipment with an ISO 518 hot shoe. Having a built-in 1/4" brass socket, it can be easily installed on standard studio light stand.
Please note it does not work with Minolta or Sony flash systems as they do not use a ISO 518 hot shoe interface.
