It is very simple lens, nothing is complicated here. Built quality seems to be decent. But quality of optics is the first league. Haveing this little baby on your camera you can create amazing photography. Higly recommended.

The Panasonic H-H020E is a 20mm wide-angle pancake lens with a fixed focal length. It boasts an aperture of F1.7 to let through a maximum amount of light for bright details. Plus, the H-H020E contains 7 different glass elements divided into 5 groups, including two aspheric lenses to reduce image distortion.
Average rating of 5/5 A must have superb lens, 2010-07-26
I've used many different lenses on many different cameras and this is my absolute favorite. It reduces the size of the G2 to an almost playful size. The 40mm equivalent focal length sounded odd to me on paper but it is completely natural to use and it has become my daily lens. It's such a useful length that I find I don't use the 14-42 kit lens for anything other than video now.
The sharpness Is outstanding for the price and I feel betters my nikon 35mm 1.8 in terms of both sharpness and colour consistency, almost every shot is accurately exposed.
So the results are great but above all it is (for reasons I can't put my finger on) a fun lens to use that has really brought a lot of enjoyment back into my photography. It really is a must buy for any panasonic M43 owners.

Average rating of 5/5 Brilliant but takes some getting used to!, 2010-06-14
This is my first prime lens and it took some getting used to at first, coming from a zoom but after two weeks of constant use, I feel I'm beginning to really get the best out of it and I've had some very pleasant surprises at just how sharp it can be. I took a photo of my son from about 5ft away and when I zoomed in after on the computer, even every single eyelash was razor sharp. AMAZING! Also the bokeh effect was beautiful!
But I have a Canon 550D, which also shoots high quality video and I have to admit, its not the easiest of lenses to manual focus with (and if you want any sort of professional look to your video, you'll need to shoot manual) The extreme shallow DOF means that a close subject only has to move very slightly and you're out of focus again but in saying that, when you get it right... WOW!

Average rating of 5/5 Budget cheap & fantastic., 2010-03-31
Where do I start? If like me, you've always been interested in fisheye lenses but could never find the heart (or money) to purchase a proper professional lens, you can't go wrong with this product.

Dispatch/Delivery: Was dispatched the next day and was at my door step two days after. Very quick, efficient and you are able to track your order.

The package itself comes with a macro and fisheye lense with various ring diameters. It also comes with cleaning products which is handy.

Size: You need to have both macro and fisheye lense screwed on in order to get a coherent image and it certainly extends the lens significantly which leaves a slightly annoying shadow when flash is used.

Image quality: You need to be a fairly competent photographer in order to get the most out of this, without a doubt. There is noticeable blurring around the edges. Even with an dSLR in use, a crisp sharp image would be near impossible. However, for the price you're paying, I have no complaints and it's a fantastic foundation to start fisheye photography.

Deserved 5 stars as for this price, it is an absolute bargain for the purpose it serves. Would recommend this for photographers wanting to dabble on the fisheye side of photography without it costing you an arm and a leg.

Average rating of 5/5 very good price, 2010-07-21
very happy with this lens,i am new to using an SLR camera & only had the one standard lens that came with the camera kit.i wanted to get a telefocal lens but only if i could find one at the right price. wasn't sure if it was motorised so i got in touch with Amazon on the help link. i received the answer that yes it was a few hours later (a very useful service).didn't think i could afford a brand new lens, this is the price bracket of a second hand lens, so well done Sigma. an added bonus was that it came with a lens hood, which i wasn't expecting & saved me a few more £s. this len ticks all my yes boxes.Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro For Nikon Digital & Film Cameras

Average rating of 5/5 Brilliant little lens! - PLEASE READ., 2010-07-23
I use this lens on a Canon 50d, it was my first prime and I could not have been more impressed. The picture quality is pin sharp and an absolute pleasure when reviewing your results. Bear in mind that a 50mm on a cropped sensor is more like 80mm. This is a GOOD thing, 80mm makes a fab focal length for portraiture; face and head&shoulder shots are easily taken to a professional standard. The rough equivalent(on full frame) is the 85mm 1.8 and that costs £300!

Also when you later move onto a full frame camera(which the EF mount will fit) 50mm is a great length for candids and snapshots - so win/win.

I understand that some are not impressed by its build quality but you really are paying eighty quid for some fantastic optics. Autofocus is fast but not rapid and manual focus can be a little fiddly at times BUT these are almost enjoyable traits when you see the results obtained. I have recently spent hundreds of pounds on a lens that is rather soft at 2.8 across the focal range, its build quality feels fantastic but whats build quality if the optics arent quite there?

I am a big fan of this lens for other reasons. Its light gathering abilities are fantastic whether wide open or stopped down a little. I have had pictures come out looking like day with next to no light available at the time!

At 1.8 it is very fast but has a devilishly narrow depth of field, use at your peril! This lens helped me understand more about (digital)photography than any course, book and tutorial had before it. I learned to appreciate light more, how to move around a subject quickly and easily(I am naturally quite clumbsy!) to get the shot I want. It is not a telephoto! No standing still with this little baby, it wont let you and I love it for that.

Lastly...
I have this in my bag and get it out especially for taking portrait type shots. I generally use a 24-70 which is also a fab lens BUT primes really do excel at their dedicated focal length. Buy this and you will not regret it!

Average rating of 5/5 Easy five stars for this lens, 2010-07-09
If you're reading this you're probably on the verge of buying a telephoto lens.

This lens is cheap, and makes awesome pictures from range, even before I realised the VR was turned off. If it were £300 I'd still give it 5 stars, and I consider it an incredible feat of engineering for Nikon to profitably sell such a great piece of kit for such a low price.

This lens is something I don't ever want to sell (and I try to sell everything I own, if I don't use it).

Although an amateur at digital photography I bought the Canon 55-220mm zoom lens after reading many other reviews (some far to technical for me). It is very easy to change over lenses, reasonably light, still fits in my original bag so no additional expense. Created some lovely pictures of sports day and great ones of the kids and friends in general as the zoom is so good and a fantastic one of a bee hovering on a flower, although I will need a tripod. Would highly recommend.

Bought this for use on my next holiday and had to test it out as soon as I got home. Took a few test shots in the garden and they came out great. Really happy with this lens, the complimentary lens care pack and what with the quick delivery from the US...well impressed.
