Works brilliantly !!, 2008-12-05
I have been through my fair share of iPod players for my car and this is without doubt the best. Yes, it is expensive by comparison to others but it works. If you don't want to be fiddling around re-tuning every hour because you have 'lost' the station then this one is for you. I have already been on a trip and driven 5 hours without having to touch it. Just two warnings:
- it fits very tightly into the cigarette lighter so if you are a smoker you could have a problen with repeatedly taking it in and out of the lighter.
- if you play it too loudly you may pick up a hissing sound (but not enough to detract from listening to your music).

Expensive for a plastic switch, 2008-06-29
Pentax accessories are expensive, and this takes the biscuit. The IR remote is £10 cheaper. The only advantage is the lock on this one for really long exposures (over 30 seconds).

Infared or wireless, 2009-01-09
Neither the reviews or the info say whether this remote is infared or wireless, which makes a big difference to the way it works!

Whereas the JJC website states; 4in1 IR remote control so therefore its Infared. Which then means where is your infared point on the camera? Mines a Canon 450D so the infared is at the front, and this is no good if I want to use it for Night photography behind the camera.

Apart from that it seems compatible with various DSLR's and its cheap.

When I first got it, I was disappointed that it seemed like you could not transmit in the best frequency of 87.9, but then I figured it out:

To change it to international mode (with the frequency 87.9 and so forth) all you have to do is hold the preset button for about 15 seconds, and the US will start flashing. Then you just hit the plus or minus to change to international mode, and voila! You now have the much coveted 87.9 frequency!

Since this transmitter will always be usable for any future mp3 player that I can imagine, (they are all going to have to have headphone jacks, right?) this means:
