Had one of these for a while. Am just about to buy another because I have carelessly misplaced mine... It will turn up the day after the replacement arrives of course!
I found it a great little remote for my Nikon D300, it even had a metal locking ring, although to be honest I often didn't use that as the plug fits in snugly enough.
The button has quite a long travel, and it's easy to feel where the AF on stage is, and then the fire stage after it, so there is no risk of accidentally firing the shot when you just wanted to wake the camera up.
The sliding bulb lock just holds the button in the down position. It's a basic design but works perfectly and felt pretty tough.
I actually had mine apart, drilled a hole in it and added a 3.5mm stereo jack socket for connecting it to my camera trigger. Certainly the cheapest way to get access the the AF on and shoot connections in that custom Nikon 10 pin socket!

I bought this for my EOS 500D and found that its what I wanted. It is leather, comfortable, fits well, feels secure and allows access to all the camera controls. Disappointing product - don't believe the description., 2010-01-16
I second Niko N's comments in his review of this item.

The strap pictured by the seller is not the one I received. The image suggests a fairly substantial, heavily padded grip stated as being made of leather; the item I actually received was a thin plastic grip with very little padding.

Although relatively simple to fit, I still haven't discovered how to fit it while keeping the shoulder strap in place - basic instructions would be helpful.

I've awarded the product two stars since it does work but it is certainly not as described.
