Excellent Accesory for superb nightshots, 2004-02-13
Sony's Nightshot lamp is a superb accesory & well worth the price.
Why buy a seperate 3W lamp, when this has on as well !
The lamp can be set to 'Off' 'On' or 'Auto'. In auto the camera powers it up when needed, and is usfull for indoor dim lighting scenes, it is not a studio floodlamp however.
The nightshot facility provides a massive improvement on the cameras built in nightshot facility, and is controlable with a vari dial, from virtually no effect, to full effect, which will light up to about 20 metres away.
In a room, it is like using a floodlamp on full, and is too powerfull, so you need the control.
This is a big improvement over the Supernightshot facility on the TRV22, as that engages slow shutter speed.
With this, there is no need for that, and so you get full motion full shutter speed.
Its an itelligent accesory, and so just clips on & its away, no extra cables.
