This teleadapter requires the use of the Canon lens adapter LA-DC52D. Once fitted, this lens nearly doubles the zoom power of the camera. It has enabled me to produce some excellent results. My one disappointment with it is that the camera must be used at maxiumum zoom - zoom out and the picture does not fill the screen, a circular image is displayed, but this is easily overcome. The lens can be removed from the camera in a couple of seconds. If this is a problem for you, you should buy a bigger camera with a longer range zoom, if you can accept this, it allows you to extend the range of a good compact camera.

I think for the size and quality this is a must for your camcorder. However, it is quite limited to very short distances and narrow angles. Otherwise it is quite a small and handy accessory, especially for photos.
