Canon LAH-DC20 Lens Adapter and Hood Set for the S3 IS & S2 IS Digital Camera.
Turns S5IS into a proper camera, 2008-12-09 Bought this to allow use of wide angle and telephoto lenses on my Powershot S5IS and it does this well. The best thing about it however is that I can now hold the camera like a standard SLR, left hand under the "lens", right holding the camera body. I thought it a bit expensive for what it is, but now I wouldn't be without it.

This lens is ideal for taking pictures during holidays or for view findings or reporters. The EFS 17-85 mm (equivalent to 27-136 mm in 24x36), is a high quality standard zoom, light and versatile. It comes with the most extended focal (x5) in its own range, and is equipped with the most recent Canon image stabiliser. This stabiliser equals 3-grain diaphragms to compensate for any blurring effects, lack of sharpness in image due to vibrations in the device or whilst using it in slow functions. The zoom EFS 17-85 mm integrates a double aspherical lens ensuring excellent contrast and perfect definition on both sides of the image. This system optimizes precision of flash exposure once associated with the Speedlite EX range flash. It comes with the CANON EF-S mount exclusive to Canon SLRs EOS 20D and EOS 300D.
Great all round lens, 2008-11-07 I had an eos400d and was considering buying this lens to upgrade from the standard, however decided to upgrade the whole kit instead. I ended up buying the new eos 50d and got an excellent deal on the package which came with this lens. I had never really worried about IS for shorter zoom ranges, however especially in low light you really notice the difference. It is considerably heavier than the run of the mill lenses, however feels perfect with the 30/40/50d cameras, however maybe not so good with a 400/450d unless you are using the battery grip as the camera starts to get a bit front heavy and off balance. All in all this is a great all round lens, great picture quality and does just about everything you need... beware of the odd size though, 67mm for your filters and hoods

- The Canon EP-EX15 viewfinder eyepiece increases viewing comfort with a 15mm space between your eye and the viewfinder and 30% image enlargement
- This is perfect for those who wear glasses and wish to keep their nose away from their camera! The EP-EX15 is compatible with all Canon EOS SLR cameras apart from EOS 3, A2, A2e, 5, Elan II/IIe, Elan 7/7e, 30, 50, IX and IX Lite
Does well if you know what to expect, 2008-04-22 I've had one of these and have been using it for over a year. I wanted something that extended the eyepiece so I didn't have to turn my face sideways to look through the viewfinder. It achieves that aim just fine. Yes it does shrink the image - this may be an issue for some, especially those using cameras with a smaller viewfinder image. I'm using it on a 5D, which has a very large viewfinder image. So large, in fact, that I find it hard to take the whole image in without looking around it. The eyepiece extender helps me to see the whole frame before I shoot so I consider the image shrinking to be a benefit. I understand, though, that many will not. I've not found any problems focusing manually with the eyepiece extender attached.
4/5 stars. I'm knocking 1 off for the slightly plasticy construction.

Not just for macro photography, 2009-01-03 I've had this for a few months and am using it with an EOS 350D.
Firstly, and most importantly, image quality is fantastic - it's pixel-sharp, and seems incapable of distortion or chromatic aberration. I have really no complaints here, not even niggles.
The AF is accurate and fast. It can hunt around a bit if you're not quite aiming straight, so the switch to increase minimum focussing distance (from 0.3m to 0.48m) is very useful for non-macro subjects. Alternatively, manually focussing first, then blipping the AF to fine-tune it, works quickly and reliably.
Lastly, I'm surprised at how much I use this lens, even after the initial excitement of taking poster-size shots of everyday household objects has worn off. It's a very capable portrait lens, particularly outdoors or where you have room to stand a few metres away from your subject. Without a zoom you have to use it in a different way, but I find the lack of variables actually encourages creativity. You can always crop it later!
I had originally set out looking for a zoom telephoto lens, something like Canon's EF 70-200 f/4.0 L lens. I've used one before - it's a lovely lens - but really on the big side, and at f/4 you need a lot of light to take hand-held shots, especially at the long end of the zoom. Also, this particular lens has no macro capability.
If you can bear to do without a zoom you'll get a lighter, cheaper, brighter lens with unimpeachable image quality, aside from the world of fun that is macro photography. Highly recommended.

- Excellent optical quality and true wide-angle coverage with select digital SLRs
- Superior AF performance and speed, with full-time manual focus by simply turning ring
- Close-focusing to 9.5 inches -- fill the frame with subjects as small as 3.6 x 5.4 inches
- Relatively compact size and light weight for an ultra-wide zoom lens
- Inner focusing system (no front element rotation); length doesn't change if zoomed
I absolutely adore this lens, 2008-12-10 I absolutely adore this lens. Given the very wide angle you can pull off some very creative shots with this it. It is a fantastic portrait lens, allowing you to get close to the subject whilst still having a lot of the background visible.
The close minimum focus distance of only 24cm is a great and very useful feature!
It also works really well when used for Astophotography! I have taken some absolutely stunning pictures with this lens aimed at the nighy sky!
Very low distortion from this lens even at its widest, its not an L series lens but it may as well be - the glass is of incredible quality although unlike most L lenses are it is not weather sealed as mentioned in another review.
Overall this lens comes at a cost but the pictures you can take with it make it a worthwile addition to your kitbag!

Wide conversion lens for 25mm camcorders - Weight : 45 g,Colour of product : Silver,Lens structure : 25mm,Packaging content : 29 mm
What a difference!, 2007-02-21 I could hardly believe it when I attached the lense - the picture opened up spectacularly, with little curvature at the edges and a nice, crisp image. It's a small, very light add-on too, so you won't notice any difference in size or weight of the camera when you are using it, and the lense is easily removed and carried about in the case supplied. And at the prices offered here, how can you say 'no'?
I can't recommend this highly enough, I actually wonder how often I'm going to film with the lense off now.
