I needed this cable to connect an older digital camcorder to my newer Mac. Went to Maplin who wanted to charge me £19 for it. I thought 'hmm'. Found this one on Amazon, ordered it, and it arrived within days.

To be fair the Maplin one had gold plated connections, and might be superior in other ways I don't understand, but this one is working just fine for me.

This works great in connecting my Canon SX20 to my Samsung TV. Couldn't understand why one wasn't included with the camera until I saw the price of the official Canon cable, HTC-100 @ [...] !!

Looked for a cheaper alternative and this one fitted the bill. Delivery was on time and the cable seems excellent quality - both ends fit well into their sockets and it delivers HD video and 12 megapixel photos to the telly without any problems. Why would anyone pay more?

Great product these are generally not supplied when you buy a Camcorder - Bought this one and it arrived next day even with all the snow ! Plugged it in and my Vista system recognised my Sony camera straight away and it was a breeze ! Only problem now is that I have filled my hard drive with video !
