I'm not sure what I was expecting from my new Medion DVC 505, but it wasn't a flimsily built piece of plastic with no decent white balance, or an inability to film indoors with less than 200 Watts direct illumination. Bear in mind that with terrible light balance, subject illumination, background flare, reflective glare, and other lighting issues become a very serious problem.
The biggest drawback with the DVC 505 however, is the sound quality. There isn't any. Even when using the voice only feature, the audio pickup is truly atrocious - and as far as I'm aware there is no external mic option. I got mine for well under £100 but promptly returned it.

Pros:
Black & white, and sepia video; Digital still camera; Dictaphone.

Cons:
Truly terrible sound quality, even when using the Dictaphone feature; terrible white balance, and low light settings make this impracticle for indoor filming without a professional lighting setup; Fragile construction; Limited to 2 GB SD Memory.
