How Cool?...... What a toy!
At this price, even if it didn't work great you can just put it down to a "well what the heck it just didn't turn out" and look for something else.
....But this did turn out!....it was even smaller than i ever expected, the picture and sound quality for something smaller than my thumb are impressive. Very easy plug and play and never believed that i was going to get this thing working without some messing about somewhere.....I'm not a techno geek so i was pleased that it all just seemed to work intuitively.
You are never going to film a hollywood film with this but that's not what you get a tiny inconspicuous camera for now is it?

We are so please with this Handycam. We have two small children so it is perfect with it's quick start up and it is wasy to use. The battery that was supplied with it is not very good so we bought a larger one (that is nearly as long as the camera) but it last so much longer so is worth it.

This camera is really easy to use. It has the "switch" that means everything is automatically put into focus and the picture is perfect. The camera was for my partner, a camcorder novice and she took to it straight away. She found that with long views your hand shake is exagerated and that a small tripod is beneficial or you need to be able to stand the camera on a steady surface. The camera is light and compact and can be easily carried in a pocket or handbag.

An excellent product, light and easy to use. the 1000 digital zoom is a very shaky and broken at full stretch but on a maximum of 40X it's a sharp clear image with exceptional definition. Hence HD, all together a good buy

Fantastic product and so simple to use, the instruction booklet is just 5 pages long. The picture quality is great and the built in software easy to use. Just pop in the batteries and away you go. The editing options are great, email facilities, video-sharing and creating music among many others and for a price that is affordable. This is a highly recommended product.

Brilliant little device!, 2010-02-21
I bought this on a recommendation from a friend and have since recommended it to other friends.

The quality - for such a small device - is remarkable. Best of all, my seven-year-olds can use it which is great fun. I could probably have bought the cheaper 2GB model as I rarely take a lot of footage before downloading it. Downloading could not be easier.

Looking through the range of models on offer was confusing - too much choice! I chose this over the Mino because I read that picture quality was better on this slightly larger model. Of course it's never going to be as good as that of a 'proper' digital camera but then you can't carry a big camera around in your handbag ready for anything - which is what I love about the Flip.

Don't Hesitate - Kodak zi8 is Fantastic, Highly Recommended, 2010-03-08
I love this camera. Need I say more?
I bought it after A LOT of research. Having been looking for quite some time for a pocket HD camera for a while, I had looked at all the demo vids online and made a couple of duff purchases - then I bought the Kodak zi8 and have no regrets whatsoever.

Picture Quality: Fantastic.
Sound Quality: Fantastic.

Like I said at the start: I love it. I've made loads of videos both indoor and outdoor, average light and typical indoor light and I have not had to scrap a video yet.

If you want a HD pocket camera - don't hesitate to buy the Kodak zi8.

Fantastic product for the money, 2010-01-14
This is a great little camera for the money. It is very small and dead simple to operate and easily fits in a jacket pocket. It is ready to use in an instant and I shot various clips over Christmas and the software within the Flip can simply enable you to blend all the clips together to make one continuous movie with music and titles. Being HD the quality is remarkable for such a small piece of kit. It has no wires so no messing about trying to find the wire or falling out with the wife or kids as someone gets the blame for moving the wires..... My only, small, criticism is that the zoom is not powerful at all so don't buy this product if you want to capture lots of footage at a distance. I was recommended this product by a friend and have in turn recommended it to sevral people, all are as delighted as I am.
