Never used rechargeable batteries before. Mainly wanted to use with Wii remotes and remote controlled toys. I must say I am pleasantly surprised with them - I looked at cheaper units but decided that I would go with a known brand after reading the reviews.

It appears to charge quickly, 4 AA batteries within an hour (but not totally flat when started). They appear to last for about 4 to 5 hours (used in a remote controlled car and with the Wii) - which I suppose isn't bad when you can just charge them again!

The light indicator on the unit is useful as it changes from red to green (when charged). The trickle charge function (keeps the batteries fully charged) is also a nice touch. It includes a car charger giving a bit more flexibility.

I am now going to buy some more AA and AAA rechargeable batteries (going for high rated mAh as apparently they last longer) as this has got to be a cheaper option than spending pounds on disposables which don't last that long, especially when things get left on.

I bought one of these as an emergency back up for my Canon Ixus 70 before going to Glastonbury this year, thinking that worst case scenario I would get enough battery life to take a few pictures if the original battery gave up on me after a few days.
I actually didn't need to use it on that occasion, but I have since and I can assure anyone who's wondering that it is just as good as the original battery packs Canon provides (and sells as replacements for £20). The battery achieves a full charge from empty in about 2 hours, and then lasts just as long as my original Canon (for me this is usually a matter of weeks, but obviously it depends on your usage so may be a longer or shorter length of time).
Overall I am very impressed with this as a back up, especially when one considers the difference in price between this and the 'genuine' Canon products.

Cracking little charger!, 2007-01-04
I bought this charger as I was sick of buying batteries for my digital camera. They cost a bomb! For the price, it can't be beat.

Mine came with 2500mAh batteries, and so what they take 23 hours to charge but they last for ages! If you are looking for a cheap and reliable charger but don't mind waiting for the batteries to be charged, then this is for you!

If you want a quick charger, splash out and get one! Otherwise, this is excellent!

These batteries are great - I combined them with the Duracell Value charger to save money overall and can definitely recommend this method - far better to have great batteries that charge in 6-8 hours than a one hour charger and not such good batteries!!

Excellent product, 2008-10-08
I had to buy a new charger as my Energizer one broke without any reason. Moreover the Energizer batteries were really bad quality, after 3 weeks they almost stop working and I could only use them once fully loaded for 1 hour on my camera.
On the other hand with the Uniross I can keep my batteries in my cameras for several days without needing to charge it. Good stuff and good quality, and cheap!
