First thing that struck me about this battery was its weight - the original lumix battery weighs 24 grams this one weighs 16 grams: fits perfectly, seems to work fine, after 15 minutes continuous video recording the batt indicator on my DMC-TZ5 had gone down one bar, two thirds the weight - lasts about two thirds the time of the original, for the price a good backup battery.

Not much you can say about a power cell unless you discover your purchase is a dud.
What you want to know is that this performs every bit as well as the "real" thing. I am running a 350D set up and this drives the shutter, motor function (sport mode) as well as integral flash (rarely used apart from this test) easily. My testing used AF just to increase the drain, handled with consummate ease. Recharge cycle in sport mode is excellent and will allow shooting up to the max frames per second spec of the body
Hooked to the mains charges to full in under an hour approx same time as my original. Capacity easy enough to match the originals shooting capacity in RAW mode. I have now recharged sufficently to note there are no "memory" or "dry out" effects in extended use. This is a durable as well as effective solution.
For what I was going to spend on spare batteries, I am now going to save the difference by buying these and use this towards the supplemental battery grip.
Yep folks it's safe to proceed, this one is no lemon.

You wont find much better, 2008-03-09
This is a great little kit. The case is brilliant as the camera fits perfectly in it with the camera strap on the outside making it so easy to remove when needed. The NP-FH60 Battery will give you 150 minutes of filming, which coupled with the standard NP-FH40 that comes with most of the cameras, you'll have a total of 4 hours battery life.
I cant recommend it enough, worth every penny and as always with amazon it arrived after 2 days.

Recommended - if you need the freedom, 2008-12-16
I bought the NP-FH100 battery for my SONY HDR-HC9 camcorder, when the supplied battery let me down after shooting only 30 minutes of video during a unique sporting event, missing the end of it.

I seriously considered buying two smaller SONY NP-FH60 batteries instead of this big one. I did not consider un-branded "compatible" batteries, as I have found through bitter experience that those can be a false economy.

The FH100's indicated capacity in the HC9 is about 6 hours in camera mode or about 8 hours in replay mode using the LCD screen, or more without it, which gives freedom from concern about running the battery down.

This battery increases the overall length of the camcorder somewhat, but the HC9's eyepiece can be extended to take care of that.

For normal use this battery is probably overkill. However used together with the camcorder's supplied battery as backup, it allowed me to get away from it all for several days, reviewing my results daily without worrying about running short of 'juice'.

Although pricey, if you need the flexibility and freedom this battery gives it is excellent. Hence 5 stars.

I have to say i was fisrt sceptical of buying this camcorder, but after reading the first 3 review i thought well why not. And why not indeed!!! Its not the best of the best but for that price to me it worth every bit of it. i havent put it down since, looking for every oppurtunity to pick it up. If you are ooking for a cam to have a bit of fun with friends and stuff for youtube plenty other little excitment then get it, for that price u cant go wrong. Anything else read the other reviews they have evrything i missed out, afteral those was the ones that made me make up my mind and i am stil smilling , thanx guys!!!

A Must for Sony Camcorders., 2008-12-18
There is surely nothing worse than running out of power when you are out for the day with your camcorder(except for running out of tape/memory),so as a back up I ordered this Sony battery.I did not dare to risk buying an equivalent from another manufacturer,as Sony camcorders can recognise the make of battery by a chip inside.This is of course to force you to buy expensive Sony products,good for Sony but bad for the customer.This battery is genuine Sony,it is identical to the original battery as fitted in my TG-3 camcorder and it works perfectly.When I go out now I always carry the spare battery and a memory card,so I am never caught short.
