this camera is good in the day time but is no good of a night. as the light fell i started to get black bands on my screen, not to bad to begin with but when it was dark the picture was no good at all maybe 2% visability,not godd for sercurity at night,i tried two just in case it was the first camera being faulty but no they were both the same,avoid and go for the sentient cctv it got audio and tapes in colour even at night.

Software catastrophy - edimax IC 7000 IP camera, 2009-06-22
Bought this IP camera with a lot of hope. However I regretted it big time. Th software provided wiped the regedit file on my PC with the result that it took 2 days to rebuild - the PC operates on windows XT. I'd advise anyone using this product to totally back up everything before loading it on the PC. I sent this one back straight away - I'm not risking it again.
There are a lot of other IP cameras around that have good easy to use plug and play - this one doesn't. Unless you like PC rebuilds - don't buy the Edimax!

This is a very fun product at a reasonable cost. The focus is very crisp.
Only issue is the built in ir booster emits a bright red glow shush makes it useless for surveilence.

this may be the first edition and my first one of these but i fell in love with it the second i got it out of the case. it is light stylish and very good at what it does. i would recommend this to anyone that wants night vision monoculars and is a first time buyer. the batteries are cheap and last a long time probably about 23 hours of constant use.
