Average rating of 5/5 My first binos, 2010-02-15
A lovely quality bright pair of binocculars.

Used primarily for sky gazing - sometimes at stars. Look at a constellation with 10 stars to the naked eye and then there's hundreds! The 8x is about as far as you can go without shake being obtrusive and the 42mm objective lens is a great compromise in light gathering ability.

Plus they are great for revealing all kinds of detail you cannot usually see around you. Always seem to have loads of gadgets when I go walking - pedometer - gps - altimeter etc. Now I must remeber to carry these in the car!!

Average rating of 5/5 Better than more expensive models, 2010-02-05
I've owned several types of these reverse porro mini zoom binoculars, but this has been the best - better than much more expensive models such as the Praktika 10-30x30, and FAR better than the Praktika 18-100x30.

Images are clear, as bright as can be expected, and eye relief is good. The focussing is smooth and easy.

I can really reccomend these as a small handy lightweight binocular for travelling, with a powerful zoom when you need it (x21 is around the practical maximum for this size of binocular, 21mm objectives).

Great value.

Average rating of 5/5 Excellent!, 2010-03-29
Bought these bins for bird and wildlife watching and went for them for their competitive price and apparent toughness. They haven't disappointed... very sturdy, not too heavy, good clear image and field of view. Easy to use and come with good case, strap and rainguards. Haven't tested their waterproofness yet but I'm sure I will!

Excellent... love 'em!

Average rating of 5/5 Microscope excellent value for money, 2010-04-21
As well as being excellent value for money, the microscope arrived extremely quickly and was very well packaged. My son has spent many very enjoyable hours looking at rocks, crystals, dead insects and also many other general objects around the house. I would recommend the microscope to anyone, as the depth between the magnifier and the viewing plate means that you have a wider range of items you can look at in it and it magnifies very well showing a lot of detail. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Thank you.

Received the binoculars today and am very pleased with them. They feel sturdy and good quality, much more so than what I was expecting considering the price I paid. They are very light and the case comes with a loop so you can attach them to your belt.

I bought this product to study and photograph insect inclusions in Baltic Amber (usually no bigger than 2 to 3mm). I have to admit, I did not have great expectations, but after using it for a couple of weeks, the results are quite amazing. I had already tried a conventional microscope, but the resulting images were poor in comparison. In my case, the software loaded without problem and ran on Windows7. By trying various resolutions and adding additional lighting, I have been able to attain far better results than one would expect. Images can be further enhanced by using Extended Depth of Field and noise reduction software, which although not necessary, help to produce stunning images. In my opinion, this is a very powerful little microscope at a fraction of the cost of conventional microscopes. It can be used for fun and more serious study, but you have to investigate the options available in order to get the best out of it. My only hope is that they introduce a 5 megapixel (or similar) version in the future, which will make this item hard to beat. I was hoping to include some sample pics in this review, but do not think it's possible.
Buy one, you won't be disappointed.

  • Protect your Sat Nav System by slipping it into this beautifully made case

  • tested with all Tomtom / Garmin / Navman / Mio satellite navigation systems

Average rating of 5/5 Good if you need to carry the sat-nav around, 2010-04-23
This case holds a TomTom wide screen sat nav, but you have to remove the mounting attachment and there is no room in the case for cabling etc - it just holds the sat nav itself (but this is all it is advertised to do, so I'm not complaining). I have bought one of these and I also have a bigger case that holds the sat nav with mounting kit plus cables etc. This one is more useful if I park somewhere and I have to carry the sat nav around, as it is small enough to fit easily into a bag, and I leave the cables etc in the car (out of sight of course). The larger case has the advantage of being able to keep everything tidy in one place, for instance if you are taking the unit indoors and you don't have to carry it around.

This is made of a fairly tough plastic, although it is flexible and wouldn't protect the unit from a serious impact or being dropped a long way. But as I would only really use this to store the sat nav inside a larger bag or rucksack this isn't really an issue. Again, I would use my other, larger case if more protection was needed.

So, I would recommend this case, but I believe it complements a bigger case rather than being an alternative.

Average rating of 5/5 Review of Avior 3, 2010-07-05
Bought Coleman Avior 3 over last few weeks and used it on my own for 3 nights. Delighted with it. It rained on the one day and was water-tight. The poles and material seem solid. Packs up quite small and not too heavy. Not sure I would recommend it for 2 people but do-able but you would need to be on good terms! Can't imagine 3 people being able to fit in it comfortably. For one person a perfect size as enough space to put bits and pieces around you without being a tight squeeze. Thoroughly recommend it. Seems well priced as hopefully it will last.
