the pouch is tiny, and the little cloth is probably the perfect size to clean a lens smudge, very useful and relatively cheap

  • This lens hood can stop light coming into the lens at extreme angles & being reflected inside lens.
  • Compact camera designs often include some degree of lens protection in the camera design.
  • For cameras with interchangeable lenses, most lenses come either with integral.
  • When there are strong light sources, such as the sun,you can get the familiar 'flare' spots on image
  • Different lenses give different patterns of flare; the shapes of the larger spots depend on shape

Average rating of 5/5 No problems, good product!, 2010-04-15
The hood arrived quite quickly after I ordered it and I got exactly what I was expecting. Have used it a few times and it does what it should do. Not really much else i can say.

Average rating of 5/5 Suppose it works :), 2010-06-16
I'm a newbie to DSLR photography.

I got carried away and bought one of these for a Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS lens, purely because I thought it looks cool on the lens.

Seems to do the trick. A little bit expensive for a bit of (very good quality) plastic, but still worth it.

It would be nice, if Canon included these with all their lenses and not just their really expensive ones.
