Fast, quality, expensive ink, 2010-07-13
I bought the printer because I know HP printers are going to work with all devices I need it to. I surprised at how fast it can print. An A4 fast draft page of black text prints in less than 3 seconds. It has the ability to print to within 10mm of the border of the A4 page. This is good although not quite borderless as it states.
The only issue is the ink cost. Even with using lower cost alternatives such as getting cartridges refilled, it is costly over it's lifetime. Consider this when you see the amazingly cheap price.
If you want a printer/scanner that just works, this is a good choice. If economy is your top priority shop around.
As an aside, I'd wished I'd bought the one with wifi that isn't much more. I could then print from mobile devices such as the iPad and not need long cables to reach second computers.

So far so good. Our previous hp "all in one" gave excellent service for over six years until a broken component prompted us to replace with a similar model.No stronger recommendation needed.Does everything it says on the box.

After doing loads of research I bought this printer,maybe I was unlucky, everyone gave it great revviews, so I thought it would be ideal. I was wrong, At first it was fairly straightforward, but as soon as we tried to insert the ink cartridges, they would'nt work. We eventually ended up returning the printer and I'm now looking to get another one.
 Scanning problem, 2010-07-27
I have a major problem with my C4680
I want to be able to Scan several pages of TEXT individually i.e replacing first page with consecutive pages on the glass until I have completed my requirement. I then want to save all the single pages into ONE file in "my documents".
At present when I scan a page it saves it to "my pictures" This is not what I want.
My system is windows XP, explorer 8.
Can somebody please advise what I require to do.

I bought this printer recently, I am amazed how quickly it prints, uses ink cartridge quickly but I think no more than alot of other printers. Very happy with purchase would recommend.
