dont be fooled either you have a hdmi connection of you dont... these as with all other cables... are plated in gold, the wires are not gold the connectors are not gold and in actuall fact gold will not make any real difference to your connection

It never ceases to amaze me how many otherwise intelligent people think that picture quality varies with different HDMI connector leads.
Take it from me - and I've a BSc in Electronics - it doesn't.
The connection is digital not analogue, so either you get a perfect picture or you don't get a picture at all.
My concern on buying something so cheap was the construction quality, not the picture quality. I needn't have worried - the materials used and construction quality is first class.
All in all you'd be throwing money away if you spend any more - this is as good as it gets.

I was looking to buy an HDMI cable to watch films from my laptop on my TV but was confused by the variety of prices for what seemed the same thing on offer. An IT expert advised me that this one was absolutely fine and was not inferior to higher cost connectors. He was right and it works perfectly with no problems. So why pay more!
