Canon Ixus Leather Case, 2010-05-20 I wanted a silicone skin for my Ixus but I couldn't find one so I plumped for the Canon leather case. It's a beautifully made case, and fits the camera exactly, no rattling around on the inside and there is a slot at the top rear for the wrist strap or the longer leather strap which I purchased as well. It's a good case but being a Canon branded product I would expect and got high quality.
Perfect for the IXUS95is, 2010-05-12 Beautiful quality case. Fits my IXUS95is like a glove.
Build quality is excellent. Neatly stitched and made from soft but durable leather with a soft synthetic lining, it looks like it will last for many a year. Probably many a camera too!
Many small cases are secured with Velcro, which is okay when it's new but very soon picks up fluff, muck, etc. Not this baby! A chrome magnetic catch fastens the flap quickly and easily.
The belt loop is a great idea. It's sewn on at both ends, so while some may think it a pain to have to thread it onto your belt before doing your trousers up, the good news is that cannot slip off, or be removed by those who don't fancy buying their own camera. I wear mine in the centre of my belt at the back and it's undetectable below my jacket. No more saggy linen jacket pockets in the summer for me!
It's a snug fit for the camera, but a very good one, and it's easy to remove the camera quickly. I notice that some people have complained about the lack of space for a spare battery. While it's true that this may have been a useful feature, I'm quite glad it doesn't have one. For one thing it'd make the case that much thicker, and for another there's really no need to carry a spare in most situations.
I bought a spare battery along with my IXUS, but I've yet to need it. I can go away for a long weekend with mine and never need to worry about the battery life. It lasts for absolutely ages on the original.
Some say it also makes the camera too thick. Well, it does add about 50% to the thickness of the bare camera, but I'm happy with that. In short, if you keep the camera in your bag or a pocket then use an iPod sock. If you want to carry it on your belt then this case is the way to do it.
It's also a bit of a bargain at less than fourteen quid. I've seen this in the High Street for £34.99!
Perfect for Ixus 90IS, 2010-08-05 Purchased with Ixus 90IS 2 years ago, perfect fit. Quality of build, magnetic catch, wrist strap, are the features of product. No faults yet, even with the occasional accidental drop / knock - camera no ill effects so case must be doing its job. Worthwhile buy.
Camera Case, 2010-05-24 Excellent & inexpensive for the quality. Would be useful for it to have a storage area for a backup battery.
A Great Little Case, 2010-07-20 Bought this to use with my Ixus 95 IS ; good fit; nifty magnetic catch holds the flap closed . Probably the best Canon case yet.
