My boyfriend has been suing one of these Hama pens, for years, so I thought I'd get one. It works well on specks of dust and pollens and the retractable brush does the job well and the other end of the pen is good for circling over more persistent marks on lenses. It's neat, portable and is highly recommended.

First time that I have purchased this product and very pleased with the results but take warning from the manufacturers limitiation. It works very well cleaning the lens and is good value for money.

Lens pens (all of em) dry out quickly and the tip gets damaged, but are ok while they last. There is a better way though......

Heres how to use a microfiber cloth and brush.
1. remove any hard debris with a soft brush, 2. breath on the lens, 3. quickly, but gently, wipe the condensation from the lens with the microfiber cloth, 4. use brush again to remove any particles left behind from the cloth.
This gives a better, more uniform result than any lens pen, and leaves it in perfect condition

I am very impressed with this bit of kit - it's functional, portable and excellent value.

Having recently upgraded to a DSLR I had the inevitable marks on the lens after several weeks enthusiastic outdoor use. These were very visible through the viewfinder and no doubt didn't help my photographic results but this beauty fixed the problem very quickly. The size of a chunky marker pen, it has a stowaway brush to er...brush away any dust and at the business end is a velvet pad which you slowly rotate CSI-style on the lens until the smudges magically disappear. In under a minute my dirty lens was pristine again. Job done. Very happy.
