good build quality as you'd expect from Tiffen.
if you paid few hundred quid for a lens, you definitely must get one of these to protect the front element from day-to-day dirt, humidity and erosion.

Well, If you buy cheap you pay twice as the saying goes. This filter is poorly constructed. The glass is not a tight fit in the holder, being so loose that it will spin. There is also far too much play front to back within the holder & the result is a filter that rattles loudly when handled & on the camera lens. It may not impair performance but it is EXTREEMLY ANNOYING!!!!
Very very dissapointed. Don't wate your money on this cheap rubbish.

amazon have asked me to review this filter, however i do not reckon to being an expert, i now have 2 of these as permanant attachments to my lenses, some one else will tell you if they are any good or not, i use them to protect the lenses, in that respect i have no complaints and i am happy with most of my photos, the bad photos i presume are down to me and not the filers, hope this helps

I would not recommend this UV-filter, since reflections of the light (a chandelier) were visible in my photos.
