Otherwise known as how to stop people writing crap, 2010-08-11 GET THIS BOOK! Get thee this book I say. What a useful piece of ammunition - I've used it to drive home economic web writing to brochure and report writers. "Look, I'm not making it up - it's in THIS book..."
All you need to know about web copywriting, 2010-07-24 I was looking for a book about web copywriting.
I am very pleased I chose this book.
It contains everything you need to know about web copywriting with a strong link to usability.
Because web wiritng and usability cannot be separated.
It is illustrated and has a lot of examples which makes it very easy and fun to read.
Excellent handbook for website designers, 2009-12-29 A very good handbook for website designers, because it translates the key learnings of researches to practical, everyday advices. The images of websites highlighting the positive and negative points are very useful.
The language of the book is understandable for a non-native English speaker as well.
Really hits the mark!, 2010-06-01 Ginny Redish has written a brilliant book here. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Creating a great web experience for your visitors is very important. Ginny shows us how to create web sites that work.
Highly recommended for people putting together their own sites - and for web professionals who want to create both interesting AND functional websites.
Reclaiming the words, 2010-08-18 I was initially put off by the price of the book (I was hoping for something around £5), but this book was worth every penny!
Being a good 'writer' doesn't neccessarily make you a good web writer. This book gives you everything you need to turn your written words into great web content. It's clear, bright, easy to follow, engaging and full of great advice on all aspects of web writing - layout, styling, formats for documents, as well as appropriate content flow for online articles. There's no need for software knowledge, nothing in the book is web-technical. Completely accessible, but never patronising, I wish I could buy copies for everyone I know who's ever found themselves unexpectedly writing web content.
An absolutely fantastic reference for web-writing. Can't recommend it highly enough.
